  • The Digital DJ Tips website is the biggest site for DJs in the world, which since 2010 has provided DJs with high-quality DJ news, features, free training and the best gear reviews anywhere
  • We literally “wrote the book” on DJing – our Rock The Dancefloor! book is the best selling book on Amazon on how to DJ
  • The Digital DJ Tips Global DJ Census is by far the biggest annual DJ survey of its type, and provides valued and up-to-date insights into the DJ world to both the DJ industry and consumers.
  • We built The DJ Test, a unique online tool that helps DJs work out where they most need to improve, and offers them personalised free training based on their results
  • With a following of over a million on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, the Digital DJ Tips community is the biggest, friendliest and most vibrant group of like-minded DJs in the world

Much has changed since 2010 both in the company and the DJ scene, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the company’s mission statement: To help as many people as possible become great DJs and DJ/producers.

Meet The Tutors

Phil Morse

Phil started Digital DJ Tips in 2010, to combine his passions for DJing, teaching and writing. As a DJ, Phil has played clubs, festivals, radio and events, including in Ibiza at Privilege, the world’s largest club. Phil is a best-selling author, having written Rock The Dancefloor!, the leading book on DJing today. He lives in Gibraltar, where Digital DJ Tips is based, and is the tutor behind our flagship Complete DJ Course.

Steve Canueto

Steve’s career has taken him from learning to scratch on junk-shop hifi gear to mixing million-selling compilation albums for Ministry of Sound. He has DJed extensively internationally, and worked as a consultant for leading London nightclubs. His senior role at Digital DJ Tips means he is involved in everything from course making to marketing, working out of sunny Spain. He’s the force behind our Scratching For Controller DJs course.

DJ Jazzy Jeff

Want to learn to DJ hip hop and so much more? Philadelphia’s DJ Jazzy Jeff is your man. The same DJ Jazzy Jeff behind one of the biggest hip-hop hits of all time, the Grammy-winning “Summertime”, with childhood friend Will Smith. The same Jeff who acted with Will in TV’s The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air. The same Jeff who’s DJed everywhere from Tomorrowland to the President’s birthday party. His How To DJ Right course teaches you how it’s done.

James Hype

One of the most exciting house DJs in the world at the moment, James Hype’s star is rising fast. Building his reputation around a string of club and chart hits records and a mixing style that has to be seen to be believed, London-based James is constantly touring worldwide, and has amassed multi-millions of streams for his tricks and livestreams online. He’s made both a DJing course and a music production course with us here at Digital DJ Tips.

Laidback Luke

He has personally coached everyone from Avicii to Swedish House Mafia. He’s played the biggest stadiums, festivals and clubs on the biggest line-ups all over the world. Dutch-born and USA-based Laidback Luke is a born teacher, and he’s made both a DJing course and a music production course with us here at Digital DJ Tips, where he shares not only how he DJs, but also how he makes bootlegs, mashups and re-edits to play in his DJ sets.

Berlin-based DJ ANGELO has been an international DJ and innovator for 25 years, spinning sets that blend hip-hop, house, R&B, Latin, pop, funk, rock and more. Technically one of the greatest, he’s a DMC winner, and as he says, “I’ve always been obsessed with achieving the perfect balance between keeping dancefloors happy, and performing with high-level skill and creativity.” His Tricks and Transitions course will show you how he does it.

Joey Santos

The brains behind our flagship production course, Joey has produced music for radio, TV commercials and feature films. Joey runs his own recording studio in Manila where he’s based, and has coached hundreds of artists. Joey is also an in-demand DJ, and still finds time to record with his own band. Learn how to make music that’s good enough to sell, even if you’ve never done anything like it before, with his Dance Music Formula course.

Meet The Team

Faye Morse

Faye first met Phil when he was DJing at one of his club residencies, informing him that “your DJing is OK, but your website is rubbish!” – but helpfully adding, “I can help with that.” Over a decade later, as Production Manager at Digital DJ Tips, she’s still doing that, responsible for making sure not only the Digital DJ Tips website but also its free guides, promotions, courses and other products are as good as they can be.

Juanmi Suarez

Like a superhero, Juanmi leads a dual life. In the daytime, he’s a shrewd and accurate finance guru and numbers man for Digital DJ Tips, making sure the bills get paid, the accounts get audited and the stats are up to date and ready where and when we need them. But by night, he’s an in-demand event DJ, playing gigs almost every weekend. He lives with his family in southern Spain.

Lauren Andio

Lauren’s varied experiences in the music industry includes sound engineering, recording, stage management, and an obligatory stint working in a record store. Lauren’s role as our content and social media manager ensures our great content is seen by the right people in the right places. Lauren loves DJing, and is a fan of Halloween gigs and DJing at film showings in her home of Colorado. She’s currently teaching herself to spin with vinyl.

Ben Vincent

“Gentle” Ben Vincent hails from the UK, and when he’s not DJing (he holds down a long-time residency in his home town of Macclesfield, UK) he’s either fiddling with gear and making music in his shed/studio, or touring the country with his family in his beloved VW camper. His crucial role as production assistant involves making sure we always deliver what we promise.
